Missing the annual eKYC window for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana does not automatically mean your ₹1,500 is gone for good. What happens next depends on one thing: whether your name is still on the beneficiary list or has been dropped from it. Here is how to check, and the three recovery paths that still work.
First, confirm your real status
Before assuming the worst, find out where you actually stand. Open ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in, go to the eKYC section, and enter your Aadhaar number.
Two outcomes matter:
- OTP arrives on your Aadhaar-linked mobile — your record is still in the list, so Option 1 applies to you.
- You see the message “हा आधार क्रमांक… योजनेच्या यादीत नाही” — this Aadhaar is not in the list, which means the account has been removed. That points you to Option 2.
This one check saves you from chasing the wrong fix.
Option 1: Reactivate while the window still allows it
If your account is on hold rather than removed, you do not re-apply from scratch. You log in and finish Aadhaar authentication to lift the payment pause.
The steps are short: enter your Aadhaar, clear the captcha, tick the declaration, and request the OTP. After verifying, add your father’s or husband’s Aadhaar, select your caste category, confirm the family declaration, and submit. A confirmation message means your eKYC is done, and pending installments can resume through DBT to your Aadhaar-linked bank account.
Option 2: The offline route for removed accounts
Here is the part most articles skip. For accounts already dropped from the list, the online correction facility is currently unavailable. The portal alone will not help you.
For these cases, the working paths are offline:
- Call the scheme helpline 181 and explain that your verified account was removed.
- Visit your nearest Women and Child Development Department office with your Aadhaar, bank passbook, and ration card.
- Reach a CSC centre or Anganwadi Sevika if the removal came from a wrong answer during eKYC — for example, mistakenly marking the government-employee question.
The WCD department has stated that no genuinely eligible beneficiary will be denied, and a re-verification drive is running to restore wrongly suspended accounts. If you clear the income, age, and four-wheeler rules, pursue this actively rather than waiting in silence.
Option 3: The next annual verification cycle
eKYC for this scheme is now a yearly requirement under the September 2025 government resolution, not a one-time task. If you miss a window completely and cannot reactivate, the next annual verification cycle becomes your realistic route back in.
Watch the official portal and Minister Aditi Tatkare’s announcements for the next window’s dates. Keep your Aadhaar–mobile link active and your bank account DBT-enabled, so verification clears in minutes when it opens.
How to avoid this next year
Three habits prevent another scare: confirm your Aadhaar is linked to a live mobile number, keep your bank account DBT-seeded, and answer the eligibility questions carefully — most wrongful removals come from a single wrong tap, not real ineligibility.
Quick answers
Is the deadline reopening for removed accounts?
There is no online correction for removed accounts right now. Use helpline 181 or a WCD office instead.
Will I lose my old installments?
Once verification is restored, pending eligible payments are generally released through DBT.
Do I need to re-apply fully?
No. Existing beneficiaries reactivate — they do not submit a fresh application.
